FOREST PARK, GA (July 15) - Herman Cain, Republican candidate for U.S Senate, is the only GOP Senate candidate who stands 100% on the issues important to the Georgia Christian Coalition, according to their survey to educate voters for the July 20 primary. Cain's values are the most in line with the values of the Christian Coalition than any of his opponents.

On two key issues Cain parts from his opponents. Cain opposes the performing of abortions in all military facilities while Johnny Isakson supports them. Cain supports repealing the waiting period provision in the Brady Bill for a national instant background check on firearm purchases while Mac Collins opposes it.

"The best way to have a 100% conservative voting record is to send a 100% conservative to Washington, D.C," said Cain. "I have always been conservative and I will vote that way in the U.S Senate."

Cain has received the endorsement of numerous conservative organizations such as Club for Growth, Georgia Right to Life, Republican National Coalition for Life, Eagle Forum, Madison Project and the Home School Legal Defense Association.

Whew, for a minute I thought it was a misprint and the article meant John McCain was 100% conservative. Keyboard almost exploded.

We desparately need Cain in the Senate to offset the color chips from Illinois's Obama, who's looking like a slam dunk.

Agree completely. For me, the thing I like most about Cain is that he ISN'T a career politician.

If Cain wins the primary by the beginning of the Republican Party Convention, the GOP is making a huge mistake is they don't give him a speaking slot.

Its hard to be a career politician when you can't make up your mind which party you support. In Nebraska he supported the Democrats and said he thought to many people like pro-lifers were at the extreme. He claimed to be pro-life with exceptions.

He filed to run for president against George Bush and said of Bush" his nomination will short change our party".We need to send someone to Washington that will support George Bush and work for Georgians not his handlers from outside the state.

I believe you mean "in Nebraska he supported A democrat," as you certainly know.

It is funny hearing an Isakson cool-aid drinker complain about other candidates as being opportunistic flip-floppers.

In the words of your source, Bill Shipp:

"Isakson could have been governor in 1990 when he ran against Miller. But he couldn't raise enough money; and the very conservative wing of the GOP believed him to be a liberal. In 1996, he should have been a shoo-in for the U.S. Senate seat vacated by Sam Nunn. Again the Republican right-wingers said no. Isakson was pro-choice. That single factor cooked his goose in the Republican primary."

Dang, why can't Mr. Conservative Isakson catch a break with the Conservative GA GOP. Must be those stupid GOP'ers. (/sarcasm)

If I were to follow your train of "logic," I would have to conclude anyone who didn't think Bush was the best choice at the beginning of the 2000 campaign is some sort of Republican traitor. Or are you trying to say that anyone that ran in the primaries against Bush is a traitor? Or are you attempting to maintain that we should all chuck our convictions and vote for the "anointed" candidate, Isakson?

Isn't that what is wrong with the Democratic party - vote for anyone, as long as he's a Democrat, no matter what he represents? Do you want the Republican party to be the same?

I'm not a Republican, but I'm not a Democrat, either. People like me are independent voters and we vote our consciences. People like me aren't going to give Johnny our votes - ever. That is why, if he makes it to the general election, he is destined to lose. So, while Republicans are still scratching their heads at how a Democrat won the senate seat, we independent conservatives will be saying we told you so.

Actually I think Cain is working on a reverse "Peter Principle".He started out running for an office above his competence and is working backwards to find his level of competence.Maybe he will run against Cynthia or for Lt.Governor in 2006.They would both be great jobs for him.
