I just watched Kerry accuse Republicans of denying 1 million African-Americans the right to vote - he was speaking at the NAACP convention. He also made a number of other various serious accusations against Republicans. The entire diatribe was built around his allegations that Republicans do everything in their power to deny A-As the right to vote.

Of course, almost no one actually read the report.

Including Senator Kerry....He was probably too busy biking, getting his hair done/botox treatment, not attending sessions of congress, etc to have time to read....You'd think he'd have a committee organized to read it for him.

I hope the Bush team doesn't allow these lies to stand. Kerry needs to be confronted immediately and forced to issue an apology.

I watched Kerry's speech and I can honestly say when it comes to pandering, Kerry is second to none. It was no more than accusations and cheap shots designed to incite the deliberately ignorant. Then he had the gall to say he was the real uniter, not a divider.

Spreading this lie is, yes, poisonous. It is up to Bush/Cheney to refute Kerry. Will they do so?

Way back before the primaries, I believe, Kerry said he would make sure no negative attack on him was ignored. He would always respond, and respond powerfully. He has done so. Bush/Cheney must do likewise.

It would be a good thing if the same outrage that caused thousands of people to demand accountability from Slim-fast for Whoopi's remarks, would demand accountablility from these "leaders" of the DNC WHO ARE ACTIVELY PROMOTING RACE WAR IN AMERICA..
They want to pre-emptively delegitimize any form of Bush/Cheney victory this time.

We who are white and work in polls demand that this imflammatory rhetoric stop immediately.

Mary Frances Berry should be made to spend as much time on C-SPAN correcting this myth, as she spent in 2000 and 2001 promoting it.

"Don't tell us that in the strongest democracy on earth, a million disenfranchised African Americans and the most tainted election in history is the best we can do. We can do better...and we will. "

This was in the prepared text distributed by the Kerry team as found on a Yahoo news site. It is obviously a talking point which must not be allowed to become another one of the "big lies," between now and November.
