One of the servers was saying that a man she had just served was just back from Iraq and had participated in the capture of Saddam.

This probably isn't the thread to be skeptical on, but I have to wonder if years from now there won't be some 5,000 soldiers who participated in the capture of Saddam. Sort of like Woodstock, if you judge by everyone who says they were there, there must have been about 3 million in attendance.

I thought about that, but he did appear to have been in Iraq from what I saw. I did not really care if he actually had a part in the capture or was just there, I would rather err on the side of generosity. The only thing I can lose is $25 if he is a liar. If not, then I have done something good.
