I thought it was the greatist speach I ever heard at a convention. Pat was right, there was (and still is) a cultural war and unfortunately, the right side is not winning. Pat told the truth, but most people can't handle the truth.

That's precisely why Buchananoids need to be kept off the stage. Most Americans realize, even if they can't articulate it, that "culture" is not a legitimate political issue. The ones who do know how to articulate it recognize that government cultural engineering is more characteristic of Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia than of a civilized society.
