Russia to host nuclear security exercises in August

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov said Russia would hold “interesting” nuclear security exercises in August of 2004.
“We have invited observers from other countries to these exercises, including from NATO states,” Ivanov said after talks with his British counterpart Geoffrey Hoon on Monday.
“We pay the closes attention to the protection and security of military facilities and are ready to show that existing myths that Russia has problems in this field are only myths,” the minister said.
