I have said for years that Bill Clinton used the OKC bombing to save his presidency. He used it to create the VRWC.

Plus, unearthing a state sponsor (Iraq) would have meant retaliation in the form of a REAL war, something Clinton, ever-mindful of his approval ratings, clearly did not have the stomach for. Another good reason not to elect teenaged boys.

Absolutely correct. Clinton was unprepared to deal with terror. He only cared about making it through 8 years, and he believed that talking up the economy was all that mattered. Remember, "It's the economy, stupid." What an incredibly dangerous slogan that turned out to be.
