That's not so stupid. Stupid is when you're in a debate and you say "Poland is a free country" while it's still under Soviet rule. That's not what Gerry Ford meant, but that's what he said. Edwards will do fine in the debates, but he won't help Kerry much in the heartland of America. Edwards is a slick-talking, rich trial lawyer and that fact will turn off a lot of people in the "red states."
No matter who the Democrats ran on their ticket, the red states won't be pulling any levers in the booth anytime soon for blue blooded elitist snob Socialists like Kerry and ambulance whoring Johnny-Come-Lately slick talkin lawyers like Edwards.
