I believe Estrich is dead wrong. Hillary wants the presidency and must run in 2008. She will sabotage the two Johns, allow America to enjoy four more years of prosperity, and dream of her term floating on the coattails of Bush's policies. Bill Clinton's "it's the economy stupid" was merely a result of Reaganomics.
Like Lieberman was the heir apparent to Gore? Don't count on it. Edwards can't get elected in his own state. When he loses in November, Edwards will go into a "powerhouse" DC lawfirm. He'll reappear on blue-ribbon commissions during the next Democratic presidency.
