On Tuesday, the Senate is scheduled to begin consideration of legislation to limit class action lawsuits -- a prime candidate for so-called liberal "killer amendments," including the Feinstein amendment to extend the ban on semiautomatic firearms and magazines.

This is a 'killer' amendment, folks. In other words, it isn't about extending the AWB, its about killing a limit on class action lawsuits. Won't make it out of the House.

Congress already knows how strongly we feel about the AWB or they wouldn't be using it to kill the CAL bill. The AWB is itself being used as a weapon. How ironic.

Correction -- (Add quotes on the first paragraph in my first reply.)

I'd like to repeat, congress already knows how opposed we are to the AWB. The more emails and letters we send does nothing but re-inforce the dems faith in using the AWB to kill the Class Action Lawsuit bill or any other bill they don't like that they can attach it to in the future.

So we are playing their game and losing either way. The only thing we can do is change the logic or rules they use to attach amendments. But then again, we do the same thing when we want to kill a bill, so there appears to be no solution, IMO.

At least we won't have to worry about the AWB anymore when it expires in September. The dems will have to find another piece of armament for its arsenal to replace it.

That's an interesting analysis to explain a do-nothing except pork barrel Congress. Say a prayer that it backfires on the rats come Election Day. Happy Fourth of July!!!!
