IMO, this story is far more complex than we see.
We see the tip of the iceberg aka the news reports.
Will be fascinating, from his desertion/abduction to his release.
Right now, I give him the respect and right to innocence anyone deserves. Not even someone AWOL deserves their head cut off slowly.
And now this gunbattle - may be entirely normal for that part of Lebanon and not connected at all. But another twist.....

That's a big jump for silver.
