My point is that the Muslim professional folks in this town are a whole bunch different from say, the "shoe bomber". It's real hard for me to believe they are part of "the plot". If so, I guess I'll believe anything.

I used to think that too. Until a US born møøselimb engineer co-worker complained when I put up a US Flag and a sign that said "God Bless America" in my cubicle.

Hi Nully, Thats unbelievable. What was his complaint about? Sounds like he needs to be re-educated.

I work with many foreign born engineers also, but there are many cubicles with flags. There is an amazing amount conservative people here.

I guess we have been unusually harmonious here. The West Richland mosque or center (I'm not sure if its technically a mosque) is on the side of the road which is zoned for churches and multi-use facilities. Right after 9/11 the other side of the road, which is residential, was one long streak of red, white, and blue. I've never heard of any confrontations here. But if another major attack occurs, especially WMD, I'm sure that will change.
