It would appear that someone attempted to smuggle in a few terrorists or illegals on the cruise ship.

4.5% of the worlds shipping going through the Panama Canal is still a lot of ships.

It would appear that the Gov is paying attention to ships as a real danger.

Finally caught up! Thanks again folks for your hard work. Seems like the threats are coming a mile a minute these days. Not sure if it's good or not, but I'm getting used to them. Won't let my guard down, but I am used to the threat level we all face these days.

Don't have anything to contribute right now. It's been very quite in my area lately. If anything changes, I'll post if I'm able.

The good news is that since the original TM Thread was started last October, our collective accuracy rate for predicting attacks has been pretty dismal, although I suspect that several minor attacks and perhaps even a major attack or two have been thwarted between then and now. I would like to think that we've had something to do with that.

Thanks JP. My goal, with islamicfinder, is to go through all states and see which sites have their own web site and go from there. Will post anything interesting, or unusual, I find. But, it will take a while!

One interesting thing I noticed last night. The mosque in Beaverton, Oregon that Brandon Mayfield attended, has deleted quite a bit of info. When Mayfield was first held by the FBI I scoured their website with a fine tooth comb. Found some very interesting stuff. Now, it is a spare, bare-basics website. They're on to us ;-)

As was praying this morning. I had a very sobering feeling that we are far from out of the woods in terms of very devastating attacks.

In fact, I felt that we need to prayerfully consider doing what we can about:

REPLACING CONGRESS CRITTERS SHOULD THE CAPITAL BE STRUCK.

I believe the globalists will be, or already have set things up to usher all globalists into those slots. We would do well to do preliminary work through--I guess State Republican orgs??? to insure that very conservative people supporting the Constitution replace any lost through terror.

"I don't know, but I just got off a long phone call with my sister who lives on the Orchard Park/Lackwanna border (2 burbs) just outside Buffalo proper, and she says all the Muslims have basically disappeared. Stores closed, hasn't seen any in weeks. And Lackawanna had a big Muslim population. I didn't ask her, she volunteered it out of nowhere.

Anyone wants to add this to the Threat Matrix on FR, go right ahead. I'm not a member there."

Plum Island Gets Federal Security Support

(1010 WINS) (NEW YORK) The Department of Homeland Security reportedly agreed to patrol Plum Island Animal Disease Center to supplement private security at the facility, which is considered a potential terrorist target.

Federal Protective Service officers, who have legal authority to make arrests and receive specialized information about threats, began guarding the island three weeks ago, Newsday reported Wednesday.

Officers with the agency had been temporarily assigned to guard the facility off the coast of Long Island for periods in the past few years, but none were permanently stationed there.

Since Sept. 11, 2001, public officials and others have raised questions about security at the facility after a report by the General Accounting Office identified security gaps there.

The Department of Homeland Security took over operations on the island from the Department of Agriculture on June 1, 2003.

The contractor has been replaced and Agriculture Department scientists are now responsible only for laboratory research.

Researchers at the facility study contagious animal diseases like foot-and-mouth disease and African swine fever.

Fire, Fumes Prompt Hotel Evacuation

NEWARK, N.J. -- Fumes from a transformer fire sickened some guests and prompted the evacuation of the Best Western hotel in Newark Wednesday morning.

A fire department spokesman says carbon monoxide from the fire made some guests nauseous. About
15 to 20 people were taken to area hospitals as a precaution.

About 20 rooms above the basement site of the fire were most affected. But the fire department spokesman says the entire 80-room, six-floor hotel near Newark Liberty International Airport was evacuated as a precaution.

The fire was extinguished shortly after the alarm.
