(CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.


CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los
Angeles.


Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the
Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.


The cause of death is still unknown.


Marlon Brando was 80 years old.

yeah. and while it's possibly true, it is also extraordinary that a phoenix cbs affil gets this story and absolutely no one else is going with it so far. of the possible explanations, error is near the top.

So what was Richard Burton, chopped liver?

Of course, I think it was Siskel and/or Ebert who said Burton was both the best
and worst English speaking actor one year when he appeared in one great film
and one stinker film.
