Isn't it fascinating that Irishmen were considered second or third class citizens (lower than your common roach) but at every opportunity took full advantage of openings through hard work, pluck, Providence, and some say UNFAIR FAMILIAL PATRONAGE until they "took over" NYC, Boston, etc..
At turn of the century newspapers bemoaned the MICKS taking over everything. Papers said Irish are nothing better than thieving, drunken whoremongering rebels. And if you were Irish Catholic, they called you Catholic Scum, Roman, and Papist and considered even lower than Irish protestants. Now, dear men (and women) please change "the Irish" to "the Jews" and you got yourself a bonafide anti-semitic argument that THE JEWS CONTROL THE WORLD. But change "the Jews" to "the Irish" and you got yourself a cause to party, which for the Irish comes all too often. The "Jews Control Hollywood" argument is illogical on its face. Nuff said.
