(CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.
CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los Angeles.
Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.
The cause of death is still unknown.
It's mainly because 1)Anti-Semitism forced Jews to take nascent industries which the gentiles wouldn't touch and 2) the studios started as family businesses, and generally stayed that way until the seventies.

Actually, Brando was right. You never really do see the Jewish stereotype in film.
It's a testament to Elia Kazan's own creative genius that he was able to keep both Brando and Rod Steiger in check. But as great as Brando is in that film-and I consider it his greatest performance-it's Karl Malden as the voice of conscience which really makes that film. Karl is still with us, fortunately, and I'm very interested to hear what Brando's co-star in both Waterfront and Streetcar will have to say about his passing.

Albert is currently doing radio commercials for St. Jude Children's Hospital (founded by-ta da!- Danny Thomas) and still does interviews for documentaries and TV specials, discussing his war record (although an ardent pacifist, he nonetheless served heroically in WWII), and environmental issues. He was also the voice of The Vulture on the recent Spider Man cartoon.
Which is one of the reasons they run through their money so quickly -- employing a large staff of flunkies is expensive. Move stars also tend to go through spouses almost as often as they go through their socks, so there are payoffs to irate ex-spouses and child support. There's the high cost of good liquor, drugs, rehab, etc., as well.
Hollyweirdos seem to think that their success will last forever -- they don't put aside for the proverbial "rainy day."
