(CBS 5 News)--The man called the greatest actor of all time has died.
CBS 5 News has learned Marlon Brando passed away Thursday in Los Angeles.
Brando may be best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "On the Waterfront". He won oscars for his work in those 2 films.
The cause of death is still unknown.
True story. A guy at work let's call him Jim Doe had a medical problem so he was out sick for a few weeks. Well one day the boss comes in and sees someone left a note saying something along the lines of, "Jim Doe passed". The boss then announces to everyone that Jim Doe passed away and he'll tell us when the funeral is. Turns out Jim Doe had passed by to see how everyone was doing. Very important difference.
Okay, time for a source. Henry Fonda was Brando's father? Sounds like a Snopes moment to me.

Cigar Aficionado had an interview with Coppola a few issues back and recounts that screen test.
It wasn't even a screen test, as I recall. Someone was sitting in the room with him suggesting the role, and he just started playing the part. He poured some water from a vase into his hands and smoothed his hair, and used black shoe polish in it to make it streak, then he put the tissue in his cheeks.
They thought he was cracking up, and then everybody met Don Corleone.
