A friend of mine just bought a single home near here and she was saying the same thing .. but with a few adjustments, she managed to get things to fit in the closets
I was unclear in my post - I have NO closet space in this house. I'm serious.
There is a "broom closet" next to the chimney in the dining room and a closet in Jax room and the pantry in the laundry room........that is it.
I kid you not........there are no closests in this house.
OTOH - I've learned to live with it because we are by far happier here than we were........
