"Maybe spidey is political after all. :-)"

I do not know Sam Raimi's political leanings. The first Spiderman movie had quite a few American flags salted throughout the film. I am curious to see if 2 has anything similar.

Hail to the King Baby.

This movie was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! There wasn't one moment when I was bored- although I thought the way they handled the Doc Oct at the end was a little weak. Loved Sam Raimi using his Michigan pals in the flick this time. Ted Raimi (aka Joxer in Xena) appeared as an asst. editor, and Bruce Campbell of Evil Dead fame cameoed as the playhouse usher. Loved the elevator scene with Hal Sparks!

This will be THE blockbuster of the summer. And boy does it ever set up the third installment!!!!

Any freeper reviews of Spiderman 2?

I never thought that any sequel was EVER better than the original.

Spider-Man 2 proved me wrong.

It's a must see...awesome from start to finish.

it also had one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen in a movie. It's in the elevator. If you see it, you'll understand.

Please refresh my memory. I've already seen the movie twice and can't remember which scene you are referring to. My favorite scene was the one with the speeding train.

Still, I am considering seeing the movie (I plan to wear a Bush shirt into it)

LOL

Give us a followup if you do wear it into that nest of vipers.

I have to say there are a lot of Freepers and others in denial over this. They've just about convinced themselves F911 is a flop. You can make negative comparisons with Hollywood blockbusters all you want, but for a documentary, it's wildly successful. F911 will make Moore and his backers a TON of money, and that's the bottom line. True, the revenues will be a fraction of Spiderman's but F-911's production costs were a fraction of Spiderman's too.

Spin it as a failure if you wish, but F911's box office is a huge validation for Michael Moore. You'll be hearing a lot from him and a host of imitators from here on. There are already two or three other ant-Bush documentaries out there that were having trouble finding distributors. Look for them to get signed up now.

This genre has the potential to do for the Left what talk radio did for the Right. Instead of sticking their heads in the sand, conservatives need to be finding ways to counter such propaganda. Better yet, they should be making films like this themselves.

Rush has 20,000,000 listeners a week. Using an avg. ticket price of $8 about 4.5 million people saw this(and that number may be lower, since a lot of that may be frothing at the mouth Bush haters who saw the piece of crap two or three times) and it is now losing its legs, even some in the left wing press are trying to disavow it.

Rush didn't start out with 20,000,000 listeners either.

Not to be a downer but did you guys notice how many more screens Spiderman is showing than F911.

Consider the audience demographics in different areas of the country.

F911 will be shown on several screens in cities with a large left-wing population but it will not even be featured in cities where the theater owners would expect very few customers.

Per screen is a misnomer. The liberals are going to go see F911 wherever it was shown. You get the same audience totals no matter the number of screens. Instead, you create an artificial number that makes F911 seem relevant.

Just like the meanigless "records" claim of "highest gross of a documentary".

If you narrow the definition down, anyone can claim a meaningless record.
