I will agree with you to an extent. The majority of Jews who immigrated here in the early 20th century assimilated and bought into the US political system. They did not fully accept the culture, however, and their reaction to it ranges from indifference to sneering and mocking to outright attacks, via the ACLU and other organizations that have torn down the Christianity and moral fabric of the country.
This is a distinction between Jewish immigrants and Italian or Slavic immigrants.
I have no argument with Jews or any group feeling that they have a right to equal footing with others, an idea that was necessary to fight for at a time when discrimination was legal and job ads came with disclaimers such as Jews need not apply. Now I think they were deluded if they believed that their salvation rested with the ACLU or socialists but it was their honest attempt to make their new country better in their eyes.
