Too bad there's not an easily accessible link showing conclusively that this was being done by Saddam's guys. It might have been a useful tool to try to reach that segment of the looney left that is impervious to facts and logic. At the very least it could provide some amusement in debating them.

Just imagine their response if, after listening to their harangue about Abu Graib, you look them straight in the eye and angrily demand: "But what about the puppies?"

Thanks for what you remembered PR. It was such a horrific sight. We (much to our dismay) don't have kids, and my little Dachshund, James, means the WORLD to me - our other two are very special, too. I just feel so strongly about dogs because of this. I'm sure if I had been blessed with children, I would feel more strongly about them, too. Hubby used to be a police officer, and holds a special place for kids being abused, or abandonded, in his heart and mind. He finds my love of dogs both endearing, and a bit overboard, but knows why--as I've explained.

As I say, I was SO MAD at SH that night...I truly would have joined, just to blow him away myself.

Small animals are so innocent and there's so much that goes on that they don't understand and are so helpless to defeat. It breaks my heart.
