After reading the comments on this thread, I wonder how FReepers would've felt if this incident had instead involved a 23-year-old male teacher and a 14-year-old female student. I have a feeling that many of the comments that were posted would've had a much different tone to them.

If this type of stuff is considered okay, it wouldn't be long before certain gay teachers demand the "right" to have affairs with gay students in their gay-straight alliance clubs. They will demand equal protection.

Well, since I and many other here were 14 year-old boys once and spent many useful hours dreaming of such and can still remember the thrill of catching a glimpse of lace or "better" on those few teachers that were ... stacked, the idea of an absolute dish wanting to clean our pipes is mind boggling.

Now as a father of a 14 year-old girl - I'd be ripping throats if the reverse was happening. Don't care if it might be a "double-standard" - it is the way it is.

This may sound odd, but it WOULD be different if it were a 23 year old man and a 14 year old girl.

So, yes, the comments WOULD have a different tone, since the situation would be different.

A typical 14 year old male (I was one once, so speaking from experience) would consider this a fantasy come true.
