Only a country where 75% of the vote goes to the Left could have produced such a lopsided result. Its amazing 25% of Canadians don't buy into this world view. If they made it 100%, they could drop the bother of holding costly elections every five years.

Sad thing is, proportional representation wouldn't help the Conservatives at all. Using the table above, 29% of the seats are 90 seats -- so their share of the popular vote is equal to their share of ridings.

If there was PR, the Liberals and BQ would do worse and the NDP Better. That would push the Liberals even further left. Together the Liberals and NDP have about 55% of the popular vote. Just great.
