I suggested the same thing as soon as I heard about the first hostage being taken. It is the only hope to have a chance to rescue them alive.

hand all the prisoners the terrorists want to the Kurds and let them slay them in the "accustomed" way, on video with audio turned up LOUD. Then see how many more they take.
