She did not have a cup of water in her lungs. It was approx. 1/4 cup of water.

She was found with her nose pointed into the rear seat foot well, where a rear seat passenger's heels would be located when sitting normally in the car, but in this situation, it was the last, highest reservoir of air in the car.

The car was inverted, tail end up.

Her fingers were curled over the lower front lip of the rear seat bottom. Thus, she was trying to hold herself, her nose, in that pocket of air.

At the minimum, she lived 40 minutes. At the maximum, possibly 5 hours.

She suffocated, right? Her nose was in an air pocket. I was told one thing, and you were told another or found out something different. It makes no difference, she suffocated and she could have been rescued.

Whether she lived 40 minutes or five hours, it was a horrible and unnecessary death and I hate those phony "noblesse oblige" bastard Kennedys for it.
