On 28 and 29 June, leaders of the now 26 NATO countries will meet in Istanbul to enhance NATO’s missions, deepen the Alliance’s partnerships and discuss assistance to Iraq.
The high-level meetings will bring together Heads of State and Government, Defence and Foreign Ministers from NATO and partner countries.

The Pres dropping in on Iraq for the handover could make for a great event, but it would be extraordinarily dangerous. Iraq is probably going to be the most dangerous place on Earth on June 30. I'd fret for GWB's safety if he was there.
Iraq is the last place he'll want to be on June 30. That would only give fuel to the idiots who are going to be calling it a puppet government. No, he'll let freedom and democracy speak for itself.
Of course the libs will have a full grown cow if he pulls it off. They would go into fits, saying how he put himself in danger unnecessarily, blah, blah, blah, blah...

I'm sure the Secret Service and the military would do everything in their power to protect the Pres, but you never know what these nutjob islamofascists are going to pull off. I'm sure he'd be fine if he made the visit, but I'd still worry. But then I also worry about the level of hatred from the domestic left, and the danger to the Pres on the campaign trail. The Secret Service must be really earning their pay these days.

Heaven forbid; but should anything happen to the CIC, there would be serious partying among the DNC. They might not be out dancing in the steets "Ullulating" like the Islammofacists, but I'll bet that Teddy K. would drink to the occasion among friends.
I hope that the President's real itennerary has not been leaked to Democrats or RINOS in the Senate or the lamestream press - if so we may probably be assured that Al Zaquri and BinLadden know them every bit as well as the Secret service does by now.
