Moore's film probably presents A.N.S.W.E.R.'s talking points essentially un-altered to the American public. It will be resoundingly applauded by democrats, socialists, the A.N.S.W.E.R. radicals and other subversives. It will also be snikered at by the elite media players, who profess not to be of Moore's ilk, yet have over the years shown that they agree with his views on issue after issue.

Knowing what Moore, his film and what he and these people stand for, it's hard to understand how they can contain their anger, and hatred for what America is.

If these people continue to get their way, I pitty the inhabitants of this nation.

Somewhere I recently heard that the movie was focus-group tested with a bunch of undecided voters. After viewing the film the vast majority had made up their minds they were going to vote for Kerry. I don't remember details or source, so I can't say if the focus group was legit or just another piece of propaganda put forth by Moore.

In any event, after seeing the movie, what are your thoughts as to how truly undecided voters will respond to the film. Will they be seduced by Moore's message, or is it so one-sided as to be off-putting?

My biggest concern about this film isn't what it does at the box office. My real concern is whether this film will make it to video/DVD just in time for the November election. I expect only the already converted will see the movie at the theater. The merely curious who rent it are the ones I'm more worried about.

Just like people believe . . . that Saliere actually had a hand at killing Mozart.

"Don't pity me. Pity yourself. You serve a wicked God. He killed Mozart, not I. Took him, snatched him away, without pity. He destroyed His beloved rather than let a mediocrity like me get the smallest share in his glory. He doesn't care. Understand that. God cares nothing for the man He denies and nothing either for the man He uses. He broke Mozart in half when He'd finished with him, and threw him away. Like an old, worn-out flute."

"crud. ok so quite a few of tubby's claims in 'F.911' that i've checked into are actually correct. more than i thought would be anyways. (can i say that on here?) of course, many MANY of moore's claims i've found to be just gross exaggerations for the sake of his story. but i guess that's what you do in a doc. its a free country right? he can make it & we have to choice to view it, or not."

Nice try newbie. Go back to DU.

Since this filthy swine is undermining the war effort and getting our troops killed by giving aid and comfort to the enemy,,,he should be arrested and charged with sedition,,,and jailed for 20+ years..

Obviously in a propaganda piece, only one side of the story is shown.

That is what moore said he was making.

I do have to admit that I'm a little impressed at how Moore is taking the Left for a ride.

Undecided voters without the ability of critical thought can be easily seduced.

The movie is one-sided, but not wholly so. It mixes in half-truths. As for it being off-putting, it may be to some, but Moore protects against this by his insidious and clever use of humor.

Trust me they feared us watching ... The Passion

I will never give a dime of my money or time to such lowlife socialist groups. As a matter of fact, I am boycotting Hollywood. My family will go bowling tonight.

Isn't America great? We give full rights to people who are hell bent on destroying our country.

I will never see this film, because I'd end up screaming at the screen.

Here is more his fat ass is guilty of:

I believe that the Dems are playing a stupid game with this movie (stupider than usual, anyway). They're not going to turn Bush voters into Kerry voters, but they might actually turn Kerry voters into Nader voters. The "swing" voters who are actually plugged in; paying attention to the issues, aren't going to buy this rabid drivel. Swing voters are generally moderates, and this movie won't entice any moderates leftward.

That said, this film is political advertising and is a political donation, and should be subject to the restrictions of CFR.

To give you the benefit of the doubt, you might not be aware that there ARE restrictions on free speech. It's called Campaign Finance Reform, and this movie is a clear violation of the same. And what "claims" are correct, since everyone who knows their facts (even the 9-11 commission) has already debunked them? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

FWIW...in Nashville, this propaganda piece is showing at ONE theater only. I think Nashville is around the 30th largest city in the country. At any rate, the hit piece is sold out for 2 shows this evening; however, no shows for tomorrow are sold out. Not a raving success, IMO.

"Bowling for Columbine" did $30 million. This will do about the same.

Great for a "documentary"...but far from even the most stupid Ben Stiller movie.

This will wet the panties of the leftist crowd...and change not one vote.

I know $20 million is huge for a documentary - it's the most ever.

But my point was that not a lot of people go to see documentaries. Moore is the big fish in that small world.

His movie will not have any effect on the general population. His audience is comprised of people who wouldn't vote for a Republican with a gun to their head.

i don't think you are giving the american public the credit they deserve

Moore has commented to Euro audiences on several occasions that the American people are "dumb"

From MSNBC:

On his international book tour, the author of “Dude, Where’s My Country?” was asked what he thought of Americans. “They are possibly the dumbest people on the planet ... in thrall to conniving, thieving, smug pricks,” he replied.
Producing a film full of half-truths presented out of context, logical fallacies and non-sequitirs to people you hold in such low intellectual esteem could properly be labeled "brainwashing".

He's making a fortune trashing the country and the economic system that allows him to make that fortune, while emboldening the nation's TRUE enemies, and laughing at you rubes all the way to his Park Ave digs.
