Not sure if anyone else was listening but they said that he said that when talking to Leahy over Halliburton. The VP's office admited that the conversation was heated, but not to the language.
Hey Leahy; FU!
Same thing happened when "Big Time" came out. Real talk by Real people!
I am partial to THE word.
Yes, this 50 year old woman has been known to release it into the atmosphere on those occasions when no other word will do.
Standing by Leahy qualifies as one such occasion.
(Not in front of the kids, though. Don't want them to know what a potty mouth Mom has.)
Leahy deserved it. I like Cheney even more today.
Leahy is one of the most disliked members of the Senate, on both sides of the aisle, and not trusted, the latter because his word is worthless. He also is rated near the bottom by polls of Senate staffers. Not a pretty picture. Thus calling him a liar has a rather generic rather than a specific meaning. It describes one of his many bad habits.
I disagree. They are many ways to to convey the same message without saying that word, especially at the presidential level. Makes me wonder if Cheney fears of being replaced....
Why not tell us who "reported it" and who "somebody else" is that you are getting your info from?
There really is not, actually. The expletive when well used is irreplaceable.
How can a person talk to Leahy and not use the F word? Personally, I would have also used the N word, the C word, the L word, the K word, and maybe even the ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ words. Bottom line, Leahy is more disgusting than CNN....................
You_killed_kenny who????
me too, but I will never be elected to any public office.
oh but you should see the shock and rage over at DU on this. They have it in their "breaking news" LMAO
reason? Depends on what the media tells you.
He's a shanty Irish #$#%#^@^@@@#&!
Isn't that the truth. And I'm no fan of crude language, but good on Cheney. Sometimes a good foul phrase is needed. And the Dems are all acting as if they've never heard the word. The horrors!!!
This charade of civility in the august body known as the US Senate is just a crock. The idea of Cheney dropping the f-bomb on Leaky is absolutely hilarious. How about John Cornyn just cutting loose and calling Teddy K a bloated ol' bag of S&!T?
isn't there a rule about foul language on the senate floor?
Starting to get worried here folks, this just has to be a coordinated effect to get at Bush/Cheney anyway they can.
