AQ would love us to nuke Mecca

We bombed Nazi cities and what you said didn't happen, we also bombed Japanese cities.

You need to go back and read the conversation we've been having about the Japanese.

I think the gloves are off... We are killing them as we find them. I believe I've read in another thread that we just killed 35 terrorists in Fallujah today.

What we are not doing is just killing indiscrimently. We are not just lashing out to make ourselves feel better or powerful. The terrorists are fighting back, and we are killing them. Sherman would have liked that.

And you are right...they will run out of fanatics before we run out of bullets... I just want to make sure that I'm using my bullets on the terrorists and not the innocent.

The nature of this beast is not comparable to Hitlers beast(s) as far as taking them out goes.

Hitlers machine had a SINGLE nation, confined borders and were open with thier ideals and actions (for the most part).

Islam OTOH, and those who wish to impose by order of death, is hidden, spread all over the globe, rag-tag(celled up) etc...etc..

To fight it "as-is" in a pick-em-off one by one will take 100 years-- **If** the world doesn't descend into their hell first.

That's my point.

Flush em out. Make em pissed (cause I know **I** am) and see whose side they choose.

END IT NOW>

BUMP.

You didn't answer the question, except to suggest that "acting like a nazi" is OK in war.

both of you please calm down. as far as I can tell, all of us here are on the same side and in complete agreement over how this war must be fought.

You're right, King Prout. I did need to calm down. I've tried to apologize for my comments, and for my attitude, if not for the original thought that I (mistakenly) tried to convey.

I offer my apologies to you, and ask for your forgiveness.

Again...your reading comprehension is terribly lacking.

But you have a nice day!

>>Does anyone think for one minute that if these sub-humans had nukes, chemical weapons or any WMDS, they would not have used them by now somewhere, sometime? They have nothing but the sympathy of the left in this country, and that is what they are playing to with these barbaric beheadings.

Well said, Toespi! The Berg film was a public relations triumph of the first order, so they're shooting sequels. We can thank the leftist media for these horrors.

Makes you think---that maybe total war, all-out war, is more merciful and just, in the long run, than any other kind. They've got themselves a winning formula and they'll go on using it, with only the media for allies.

PRBC, you're absolutely right. I hope that no children did see my post. I was wrong, and I am sorry.

Please accept my apologies.

I wouldn't waste a good pigskin on this human garbage. I would feed their remains to pigs and feed the pigs to any militants as their last meal.

On January 29, 2002, President Bush gave the first State of the Union address of the post-9/11 era. In it, he had this to say:

"America will lead by defending liberty and justice because they are right and true and unchanging for all people everywhere."

"No nation owns these aspirations, and no nation is exempt from them. We have no intention of imposing our culture. But America will always stand firm for the non-negotiable demands of human dignity: the rule of law; limits on the power of the state; respect for women; private property; free speech; equal justice; and religious tolerance."

"America will take the side of brave men and women who advocate these values around the world, including the Islamic world, because we have a greater objective than eliminating threats and containing resentment. We seek a just and peaceful world beyond the war on terror."

Child, since you are incorrect regarding when President Bush first began talking about this "greater objective," as he put it, how do you know you are correct about your assessment of the battle for Iraq?

It is horrible, and look at this.

"On Wednesday, the Arabic interpreter and devout Christian who dreamed of missionary work in the Arab world knelt silently and impassively before his Muslim militant captors beheaded him."

"The scenes from videotapes aired on Arabic television station Al Jazeera were broadcast repeatedly on South Korean television..."

They showed the video in South Korea.

I understand where you are coming from. I would assume that we actually feel quite similar on the subject if we had a chance to "compare notes."

It is very important that we do not let the enemy succeed in their plan to divide. I am seeing more and more of this every day and it frightens me. We are in this together; all of us are (not just America, but the entire free-world).

I do wish you would have done a bit of ‘background investigation’ before you made accusations. It is often a good idea to click on the posters name and check their profile, or to have a look at things they have posted before in the past before you make assumptions about their belief system.

In general, I try to keep my thoughts brief. I tend to keep typing for several pages once I go past 2 or 3 sentences. In the future I will be more cognizant as to what type of subject I am posting/responding to and I will attempt to be as clear as possible. To be fair, you were not the only one who responded to my reply in a way I did not expect. You were certainly the harshest.

Anyway, we can move on from here. There is no good that can come from holding a grudge.

What is to stop them from starting the kidnapping and beheading on our own soil? We know they are here. How hard would it be to grab a family?

I was not incorrect about this at all. What I said was that nobody was talking about the "greater objective" in the context of the war in Iraq. It's important to remember that the quotes you presented are from the 2002 State of the Union address, not the 2003 address that was made only two months before the war began. If the address you cited had been given in 2003 instead of 2002, a lot more people may have recognized the rationale for war in Iraq for the hoax that it turned out to be.
