I think LFC thinks I'm a man, or a dyke, or something.
I've read many of the comments to you and it appears the senses of some folks have been dulled to the point that they cannot see the issues, and perhaps by posting this article you're stepping on toes.
Speaking of obsessive people, you seem to be one of them:

Well, I know Rupert Everett is a queen, and I've heard those scurrilous rumors about Eddie Murphy and the transvestite hooker . . .
For once, I'm staying out of this one.
I think it thinks you don't think like it does so you're a freak, just like me.
Frankly, I'm more upset about all his talk about who has on whose panties and who doesn't than I am about this MOVIE!
Stepping on toes, or sucking on toes?
From the article
The movie features a male-to-female transgender (in transition) as an evil bartender. The character has a five o'clock shadow, wears a dress and has female breasts. It is clear that he is a she-male.This doesn't belong in a kids movie. As a kid I enjoyed the Bugs Bunny cartoons and didn't realize some of the humor until I was older. The humor I understood was to fool Elmer Fudd and the Tasmanian Devil and was never intended to imply a sex change. It was a completely different time.
During a dance scene at the end of the movie, this transgendered man expresses sexual desire for Prince Charming, jumps on him, and both tumble to the floor.Completely unacceptable for a kids movie. Tie that in with what kids are getting fed in schools and the kids put it together.
...Donkey encourages him to lie about something and suggests he lie about wearing women's underwear. When he denies wearing women's underwear, his nose begins to grow.Completely unacceptable for a kids movie.
An earlier scene in the movie features a wolf dressed in grandma's clothing and reading a book when Prince Charming encounters him. Later, one of the characters refers to the wolf's gender confusion. If this is accurate, at least they refer to it as confusion, but there's no need to mention this in a kids movie.
The battle is for the mind of our kids. If the senses of some are too dull to see the issues, we can pray their eyes are opened to what's really going on.
It's more than a rumor. There was a Transvestite that jumped from a window over Murphy I believe. I'll see if I cannot dig up the article. Posted on FR a couple of years ago.
Boy, Snow White and those boys must have sent you into a tailspin.
I have searched this entire thread and did not see a confirmation or denial from you that you saw or did not see this movie. How difficult is YES or NO?
As well, You left out the parts about pinnochio and the wolf, and the crossdressing hints that are connected to them.
I did not leave them out, I explained them, and you ignored my explanations.
I have seen the movie and enjoyed it very much. I don't even allow my teenage daughter to attend movie theaters, but I do view popular movies to decide if I will allow her (and my grandchildren) to view these movies on DVD. SHREK 2 passed with flying colors.
Did you personally view the movie or not? Just please direct me to the post in this thread where you say yes or no.
I think I am going to view SHREK 1 again.
Some of my children are ultra-conservative, and others are plain conservative. The "ultra-conservative" don't approve of any movies whatsoever, while the "just plain conservative" can't wait for the DVD of SHREK 2.
I have also had people tell me that "Lord of the Rings" is forbidden because it bears some similarity to Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen which was Hitler's favorite opera. Sorry, I tell them all the LOTR is the greatest motion picture ever made.
Sell crazy some place else.
Imagine, Snow White living with 7 little men. Kinky lil slut wasn't she.../ s
I'm willing to bet you that these very same people at least raised an eyebrow about Jesus hanging out with all those guys in dresses.
You're doing good work. The thing is, some people's consciences have been "seared with a hot iron." They don't notice the evil stuff, and don't recognize it as such. Do you remember the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" It has evil stuff in it. But the evil won't be recognized by those without discernment. Take heart - your "pearls" of wisdom are read by other than the swine.
Not just about hanging out with them but about him wearing one himself.
