I have live in every region of the country, and oversea too. It is not regional but it is urban and suburban, just look at the famous "county map" and the demograpics of the two parties. I cannot see why this is so controverial. You act as if the boomer generation is not charactrised by the 1960's and by the next wave of liberalism - of course it is. The mainstream Boomers when to protest rallies in their college years, they did not go to Vietnam. Just look how very few Vietnam Vets are in the Congress, particularly on the Democrat side. That is why Kerry makes such a big deal out of it, it is a anomaly that he was a vet.
The reason I am speaking up is that I have seen too much inter-generational friction on this forum, and it is caused by people attributing all manner of evil to the Boomers. It is no more valid to tar my generation with one brush than it was for some of the Boomers to say "don't trust anyone over 30."
