They are no myth, the Liberal boomer is a major cultural force and quite real. And they have created and control modern media, they were not its products.

This is why half of the electorate (if we are to believe the poll) actually think that Kerry would make a good President, their entire lives are colored by a rejection of all that GWB symbolizes and embodies. The counter culutre was quite real and had a major impact, an impact and influence we feel to this day.

It is not wise to write them off as some sort of mirage created by the media, it is quite the opposite.
