Along with Pilates and windsurfing, clay target shooting (search) and handgun target shooting (search) are some of America's fastest growing sports.

Apparently, I'm hopelessly out-of-touch.

Either that, or there are 3 people doing "Pilates" this week, a 300% increase over the week before (making it one of our fastest growing sports).

Must be something John Kerry does.
I wonder type silly outfit you have to wear to do it.

The strange thing is that they listed Pilates as a sport...

Pilates isn't a sport-- it's just an exercise method. I use it to supplement my daily run. It's a full-body toning and strength training method, although some modified versions do include aerobic dance (good for those rainy days when I can't run without risking a broken leg.) There are lots of classes in gymns, and various versions of Pilates made up about 9/10 of the exercise videos and DVD's in stock at my local Academy. If you weren't aware of its popularity, that might be because you don't hang out much with its natural target group-- suburban moms. ;)

I think it has something to do with crucifictions. Of course, I could be hopelessly out-of-touch myself.
