Reacting with overwhelming force at this time, so close to the election will certainly make Michael moore look more like a hero.

GW may yet respond this way - and i hate it that he may be have to be playing politics at this juncture - but when he wins the election and has another 4 years before him, i think we can expect to see more swift action like we did against Afghanistan after 9/11.
