"If GWB does not respond with overwhelming force and intent, he should not be re-elected.
They only understand overwhelming force. We have it; Dammit! Let's use it!
It is time to say 'enough is enough.' "
Overwhelming force on whom ?
President Bush has not been hesitant about making preemptive strikes when appropriate. Both Mr Johnson, May God rest his soul, and Nick Berg were conducting business in dangerous locations. They knew the dangers, they chose to be there and were well aware of the very real threats to their safety. President Bush did not send them, he did not ask them to be there and he can not avenge the death of every American who exercises his own free will.

Sure, that's it. Let every American know that they can be killed simply for being AMERICAN. And we won't back them up or avenge their deaths. Yeah, real good foreign policy there. Let every pissant kill off our citizens at will around the world without fear of reprisal. So much for "we're all in this together", huh? I pray that next time it won't be someone that YOU care about.

You sound like you're blaming the victim.
These terrorists are guilty of murder. PERIOD.
They killed Americans because they were Americans. PERIOD.
If Berg and Johnson had not been available to them, they would have chosen another American.
Whether journalists, businessmen, diplomats, or soldiers, Americans don't deserve to die just for being Americans.
