President Bush is about to speak to our troops.
You can tell. These guys love him! WOW!
I can hear it already in the media..."McCain gave a better speech, the soldiers applauded more for McCain, McCain should have been the Republican nominee in 2000...blah, blah, blah...
Missed that. What happened?
McCain: The events of 9/11 was a battle cry to a war we dimly knew was going on but hadn't comprehended what the enemy meant.
Fight between human dignity and evil.
Fight between right and wrong, good and evil. It is no more ambiguous than that.
If they obtain the nuclear or biological weapons they seek, the danger will be even greater. That is why your role is so important to us.
Saddam had used weapons before and was determined to obtain them again and use them.
The people were long oppressed by a savage tyrant.
You have given hope to a region that has never known peace or lasting stability and have given hope they will live in freedom
(all paraphrase)
War, my friends, is an unhappy business; a miserable business. You know that better than most.
Me too!
No...that would not be wise. Why would you want to put a schizophrenic (not literally) glory/press hound, self-absorbed idiot as your VP. Stick with Cheney... he's doing a great job.
It was done on purpose for a cool looking effect.
Cheney isn't going anywhere, thank God.
Get used to it.
LOL!
mC cAIN IS GIVING A great SPEACH!!!!!
Thank God for you, cyn! We appreciate you!
At the beginning after the President walked out (McCain was already on stage) the lights went out. It looked like the emergency generators kicked in. Once McCain began to speak the lights went back on.
It is a pretty damn good speech.
This is just a warm up for The President.
McCain praising the President now!
Kerry's First Choice for VP
Endorses President Bush
President up now!
So far, so good with McCain..introducing the President right now!
McCain: We cannot make victory on the field difficult to obtain.
The man I introduce to you today understands all of this very very well.
He understood on that morning of September 11.
With firm resolve to obtain victory. Like you, he has not waivered in his determination to make this a safer country.
Troops start to whoop and cheer even before McCain finishes the introduction.
Here's the President!
McCain: (to the soldeirs) "You will not yield, nor will he!"
