Wanted Man Pakistani Officials Seek Al Qaeda Leader Close to Osama Bin Laden Aug. 20, 2004 - Abu Faraj Farj, a Libyan al Qaeda leader now being sought in Pakistan, is the new operational chief of al Qaeda and is in close contact with Osama bin Laden, intelligence analysts told ABC News. Recently captured al Qaeda suspects have identified Farj, a former personal assistant to bin Laden, as the person who gave orders for terror attacks, including two assassination attempts against Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in December. Intelligence analysts believe he controls al Qaeda sleeper cells in several countries. This is interesting news - I caught it early today on the ABC-News website -
Lets just continue to hope this seeming pressure being put on by the PAK military makes an HVT get reckless -
Though, I still believe more US SOF forces are needed on the PAK side of the border to produce anyone - (and perhaps they are there....I hope so)
