Oh, I agree with you wholeheartedly. It does give one some comfort knowing that there is a plan and that though evil may be ever increasing in our world, it's days are numbered.
But that does not mean one should give up the battle. If we are to retreat, we should do it facing the enemy, fighting until our death.
This is one that I struggle with. What is required of those of us who are supposed to be in the world but not of the world. Don't get me wrong, I am a fighter for what I believe is right, but sometimes it seems so futile, knowing that evil, before its destruction WILL have it's way with the world.

I posed this question to my husband because it really bothered me. He said what I said, only better. Something about continuing to do as God requires, to always fight evil, not run from it.
The end battle is between good and evil after all - it is spiritual and fleshly - as Christians, we must continue to fight evil. Its our job until Christ returns, something we should not shirk.
