It's reasonable to ask the question: Why do the terrorists hate us?
There may be no single easy answer to that question. Some argue that it's a religious war. Others claim it's a fight over various ethnic groups. Some believe the hatred is embodied in the Arab-Israeli fight over disputed Middle Eastern lands.
Still, arguments are made that terror groups are fighting over the legitimacy of some governments and the illegitimacy of others. Many believe that the freedoms we have in America are threatening to terrorists who want to control other lands that offer no freedoms.
This much is certain, ignoring terrorism, hoping it will just go away, will not work. Terrorism works in some countries such as Spain where the people surrendered to the terrorists and elected a government that wants to appease them. But Plato observed: "Only the dead have seen the end of war."
And those that hope terror groups will ignore the U.S. if we were only to leave them alone have missed the most important facts in this war on terror. Threats to the U.S. will likely continue for years. The U.S. dominates the globe economically, militarily, politically, and culturally. So, if a group is unhappy with the state of the world then it is unhappy with the U.S.
And that's The Point.

The terrorists dont hate us, they hate everybody. They dont care who they kill they love the act of killing. No one is safe , not other Islamics , not Spaind Germany France, no one. They are rabid dogs who must be destroyed.
This guy is great. Luckly one of the local channels, channel 13, in Sacramento carries his broadcast. Because of this I watch 13 news when I can instead of the liberal crap on the other channels.
Because we don't bow down and pray to Allah 5 times a day.
Because our country has advanced well beyond the 17th century like theirs has not.
Because most everything about American life that they see on Al Jazerra depicts debauchery and perversion, thanks to the liberals in America.

Why do they hate us? Who cares why...They've been very clear in their intent...if we do not convert and submit, we die. Root causes? Apparently, islam is the root cause. No amount of skillful deception on the part of muslim apologists can disguise the facts and the truth of the "religion of peace", or religion of pieces, which is a more suitable name. islam means "submit".

They hate us mainly for the atheism, feminism, and sexual license promulgated by our friends the liberals/socialists.
They hate us because we are still alive. Islam demands that one infidel is one too many (unless we pay what equates to a tax to live and subordinate ourselves to Islam.)
This is a 1400 year grudge. I doubt they just give up on a pinky swear.
At this point, I don't really care.
They just need to understand the fact that if they want to screw with us, a whole bunch of them are going to be hunted down like so much vermin, and exterminated.
I believe in my God, as is my right to do so. So far, He has been pretty cool - no Jimmy Jihad's or 72 virgins or any such nonsense about other religions. Too bad your God (Satan ?) tells you to kill anyone that is not a "true believer".

Whenever I hear it asked, "why do they hate us," I wonder if Jews asked the same thing while they were being gassed at Auschwitz. Even if they had some sort of rationale, once they drove those planes into those buildings, the only relevant conversation to have is "How do we kill these guys?"
They hate anyone with indoor plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, soap, goals, morals.....
