Two arguments, one loaded with facts, one loaded with rhetoric. Libs will look at Kerry as a 'thoughtful' man. I really believe that those of us 'common folks' with 'common sense' will prevail, and GW will be re-elected.

In the early Seventies, testifying before a congressional committee Kerry claimed a lot of Vietnam Veterans had committed war crimes. When asked if he had, he said yes.

So, for me it boils own to one thing. Either John Kerry was telling the truth and thus is a war criminal, or he lied to a congressional committee for personal political gain. Do we REALLY need a Bill Clinton clone in the White House?

"Americans deserve a principled diplomacy...backed by undoubted military might...based on enlightened self-interest, not the zero-sum logic of power politics...a diplomacy that commits America to lead the world toward liberty and prosperity. A bold progressive internationalism that focuses not just on the immediate and imminent, but insidious dangers that can mount over the next years and decade, dangers that span the spectrum from the denial of democracy, to destructive weapons, endemic poverty and epidemic disease. These are not just issues of international order, but vital issues of our own national security." -John Kerry

Already have it. What Kerry doesn't understand is that sometimes diplomacy is as useless as teats on a boar hog.

Kerry is a person who can discuss issues about nearly every country in the World. He can do it succinctly, intelligently and without notes or speechwriters telling him what to say. Concerning how we should be viewed by the rest of the World, Kerry is not for alienating our allies like Bush has great skills at doing.

Bush deals straight-forward with foreign leaders. They have commented on how insightful Bush is. Here is the difference: Bush bases his diplomacy on core values of right and wrong. Unlike Kerry, he will not placate so-called allies who insist we expose ourselves to enemies who are trying to kill us. We know these "allies" of Kerry were making a fortune from Iranian money and from the UN Oil For Peace funds (which came from the US). They are selfish cowards who would sacrifice their greatest ally and defender to the almight dollar (certainly not the Euro).

"Those who seek to lead have a duty to offer clear vision of how we can make Americans safer and America more trusted and respected in the world." John Kerry

Only two presidents since WW2 have articulated a clear a vision for US defense: President Ronald Reagan and President George W. Bush. The Bush Doctrine is clear and effective. Kerry hasn't even hinted how he would defend the country from international terrorists.

In terms of fighting the war in Afghanistan, Kerry is of this opinion:

"As both a soldier and a Senator, I learned that when it comes to war, our goal must not be just regime change but a lasting peace. The United States has won the war in Afghanistan without securing the peace." -John Kerry

As Rush Limbaugh has been pointing out, the left said the same thing about post-WW2 Germany. You Placators never change.

"We need the rest of the world to be involved in order to reduce America's carrying all the risks and all the costs, in order to reduce the targeting of American soldiers, and in order to maximize our ability to wage the war on terror in that region and elsewhere."-John Kerry

A unanimous UN resolution doesn't count???? Sheesh. How about an International Coalition?

The president set the date for the start of this war. Not us. And he did not go as a last resort. He broke his word to the American people. He broke his word to the Congress and through us, the American people themselves. And he rushed to war. He doesn't have a plan. We need to go to the United Nations, Paula. We need to get the sense of American occupation off the table. We need to strengthen America by taking the target off our troops and bring the world to the table to help us." -John Kerry

It was a last resort. Saddam refused to cooperate on any point. And we didn't rush to war. You guys forced us to delay long enough to spread the WMDs across the world.

Read what the greatest 20th Century President had to say:

Ronald Reagan "Those who would trade our freedom for the soup kitchen of the welfare state have told us that they have a utopian solution of peace without victory. They call their policy "accommodation." And they say if we only avoid any direct confrontation with the enemy, he will forget his evil ways and learn to love us. All who oppose them are indicted as warmongers. They say we offer simple answers to complex problems. Well, perhaps there is a simple answer--not an easy answer--but simple.

If you and I have the courage to tell our elected officials that we want our national policy based upon what we know in our hearts is morally right. We cannot buy our security, our freedom from the threat of the bomb by committing an immorality so great as saying to a billion now in slavery behind the Iron Curtain, "Give up your dreams of freedom because to save our own skin, we are willing to make a deal with your slave masters." Alexander Hamilton said, "A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one." Let's set the record straight. There is no argument over the choice between peace and war, but there is only one guaranteed way you can have peace--and you can have it in the next second--surrender.

Kurt Vonnegut described Kerry when he defined a granfaloon. "If you wish to examine a granfaloon, just peel the skin off a toy baloon."
