WIFE DUMPS BLOWHARD RUSH
The New York Post ^ | June 11, 2004 | Richard Johnson

Posted on 06/12/2004 1:32:23 PM PDT by NavySEAL F-16

RUSH Limbaugh put out a statement yesterday that he and his third wife, Marta, had separated — but only after PAGE SIX called to confirm what we'd learned exclusively. Sources in Palm Beach say Marta dumped the burly blowhard and vacated the couple's home on North Ocean Boulevard. The two are quietly working out a divorce agreement. Limbaugh met Marta on the Internet and they married in 1994. Since

...Limbaugh, who once said he had little time for love because "I'm too much in love with myself."

That's why he's failed at marriage three times.

I would just like to remind everybody that if it weren't for Rush being on the radio, Al Gore would be President of the United States, the Democrats would hold both houses of Congress, there would be widespread terrorist activity across the Unitde States and instead of going after these terrorists and doing something about them, Gore and his mercerinaries in civil authority positions, the kack-boots would be kicking down doors and going after christians and conservatives and dragging them off to the gulags just like Saddam and his mercernaries did to his political adversaries.

This is not a reminder, it is a bold unsubstantiated bunch of BravoSierra.

I have been entertained by him since he came on the national scene. I quit listening full time a couple of years ago. He was getting so redundant, and boring. It isn't any better today. I find myself tuning to him, listening to his current rant, and tune out quickly! I only go there out of habit.

I would prefer to think that we may have been able to keep those things off the table, without MajaRushie around. He just happened to be at the right place, at the right time.

He is a blowhard, just as phony as Stern, but without the vulgarity. He deserves to lose this woman. He abused her, staying stoned on Oxycontin, and who knows what else. (Oh yeah, he had a back ache, while playing rounds agter round of golf-LOL).

Listen to him all you want, but he is not the second coming of RR!

Al Gore will never be Prez, and it is because he is an idiot, not because Rush Limbaugh is on the radio!!!

Well, that's fine. If you don't like Rush, that's your perrogative.

But the reality he has far more supporters than he does detractors. His show has a much bigger audience than any other radio talk show host in the nation today.

As for the woman, well she was a golddigger. It was quite obvious. Some people just don't like him because of what he stands for and the fact that he blew the whistle on the Democrats. Now, whether you like it or not that is the truth.

If you don't like him don't listen to him, but I don't want to be spoken on my behalf and have him trashed. I'm a loyal fan of his and intend to be one forever and anybody that doesn't like it can go take a hike.
Regards.......

As for the woman, well she was a golddigger. It was quite obvious.

And you know this because....?

You are a good and loyal fan. He needs all he can get. As for more supporters than detractors, I do not think that has been quantified.

As for speaking on your behalf, you are doing it. All I (and others) wish to do is refute what you say, with a little truth in advertising!

He doesn'tseem to blow any whistles these days, just constantly toots his own horn!

I am sure you think it is just alright that he abused drugs, too. You probably have some sort of justification for your position, but he broke the law. The prosecutor may be overzealous, but he also may have something to work with, by way of evidence, of a crime!

What would you say if these criminal charges had been made against a popular Dem?

As a conservative, and as an observer of life, I do not feel she was a golddigger. I think they fell in love, married, and she saw him in his full glory, and guts... and finally got tired of living with an egotistocal junkie! She was a motivating force in his business ventures (ties, coffee cups, etc), and should share in the rewards.

You sound a little bitter. Do you have an agenda from a failed former marriage, or just a bias against women...? I like them, and realize they are different creatures, than men. As for golddigging, there is a thing called community property. I am sure he was aware of the possiblity of failure (since he had twice before failed at marriage), and knew that any gain in wealth, from his life, while married, was to be shared.

Nobody cares to put words in your mouth. I just want to give my humble opinion of a guy, that I have admired in the past, as he falls and cracks into pieces, because of his own bad choices...

Well, she just seemed like it in my own opinion.

You know, you're making some very slanderous statments about me and you don't even know me very well. I'm a conservative too. I voted for Ronald Reagan in 1984 for President. I was a registered Republican and still am today.

To say I have a bias against women is stupid, idiotic and foolish on your part. I have no biases against women. However, I've seen how men have been taken advantage of in lots of relationships and sometimes they get cheated on and when they blow the whistle, they get demonized.

Rush has proven to be very succesfful in his career making tons of money. It's understandable if people are successful they would want to take advantage.

You know it's awfully easy to acuse someone of having an agenda when you don't know that person. When you don't have an intelligent response, just make accusatory statments and try to damage that person's reputation.

If ouy don't like Rush that's O.K. I do and I' m just here expressing my opinions on this subject. If this is the best you can do is trash my reputation just because my observations cuase you disconfort that it's you who has a problem. not me.
Regards.

A question is not slanderous.

slander

n 1: words falsely spoken that damage the reputation of another 2: the act of defaming [syn: aspersion, calumny, defamation] v : charge falsely or with malicious intent; attack the good name and reputation of someone; "The journalists have defamed me!" The article in the paper sullied my reputation"

I did not make any attacks, just questioned the reality, in which you abide... Your statements reveal a harsh attitude toward women. That is truth.

All black people are lazy, all women are golddiggers, all jews are rich, all orientals are rocket scientists, and all the rest of the ridiculous, bigoted statements apply to no one... in particular!

Yes, there are golddiggers. See J F'in Kerry, in the dictionary... a great example of one! On what particular facts do you base your opinion of Marta (formerly) Limbaugh?

Man, some of you don't mind kicking a man when he is down.

I never saw Rush as a moralist. He was more of a political commentator. I think a bunch of you are stretching too far to reach your own conclusion.

I know, and have known many people that have great ideas, and are great thinkers..but their own lives seem to be in turmoil. Doesn't make their ideas, and thoughts any less valid.

Not necessarily, but there usually is a correlation. Check out Intellectuals and Degenerate Moderns sometime.

I believe it's called blackmail.

Actually in these circumstances it's more extortion.

Well, goldiggers are ensentially people who take advantage of other people's wealth nad yes, I've also seen men take advantage of successful businesswomen too. It cuts both ways.

Marta used the resources of Rush's radio show to promote her magazine and some of her other ventures. There's certaintly nothing wrong with that but when you use other people's assets to promote your veutures, some gratification is in order.

Rush has had some problems as of late. Sure he's doine things I don't agree with but he's owned up to them on his radio show. Does this disqualify the ideas he's promoting? no, it doesn't.What it simply amounts to is he has faults but his ideas are what's best for the country.

My only agenda here is to advance the cuae of conservatism. I've never been married and I have no bias against women.

But, I see cases day after day after day where people are simply not taking marriage very seriously and that's a very big concern. If you're going to marry, you should at least make a good faith effort to follow those vows. Something that doesn't seem to be happening in a lot of cases.

This website is read by millions of people all across the country. Some people here in my area read my this website and know what my FR name is. We're a very close knit community. So when they read something about me, I have to explain everything. I think you know it is in that regard.

Yes, there are goldiggers, and it doesn't matter what kind they are, it's a very bad thing.
Regards.

What a horrible couple years for El Rushbo -- massively addicted to drugs, ongoing serious legal troubles, losing his hearing (probably due to the drugs), and now losing his wife.

Let's hope his losing streak ends quickly. ........before Nov., at least ;)

Limbaugh's divorces haven't stopped him from dispensing marital advice. "If you want a successful marriage, let your husband do what he wants to do," he once said.

Rush doesn't seem to understand what marriage is supposed to be about.

Could be a nickname or shortened version of a name. I think it might be dutch. Also, there was a small time actress in the 60s - Marta Christiansen or something who was the girl Judy on Lost in Space.

I've never been married and I have no bias against women....

hmmmmm......

Sure he's doine things I don't agree with but he's owned up to them on his radio show....

...after he got caught! He is a hypocrite. That does not diminish the message?

There's certaintly nothing wrong with that but when you use other people's assets to promote your veutures, some gratification is in order...

Could gratification come by way of being in bed with you? I am on my second mariage. The first lasted 23 years, but I had financial difficulties, and "no money, no honey', was the result, from the first. Was she a golddigger? I had been worth more than 7 figures, but lost it all in some stupid decisions, and circumstances beyond my control, as well.. Nut, I have four wonderful children from her, and I got more than 20 years of good times.

I remarried in 2000 (june 26, my soon 4th anniversary), and have a wife now that is able to change the starter on my explorer, do a needlework quilt with all of the family tree names, for my grandson, cook a gourmet meal, and bare-handedly kill a tiger (just kidding about that one). She managed a drugstore when I met her, but loved cars. We have 9, now. I bought them for her.

Your need to support Rush Limbaugh is interesting, but probably unfounded. He is perfectly able to defend himself. The problem is that there are too many people willing to follow him, without the necessary criticism to help him chnge for the better... fellowship with a church might help!

Charles Manson had followers, too. They thought he held the truth...

You know, your attempt to lower this dialogue by including a mass murderer in the same category is really getting to the point where I can no longer address this issue with you.

It's obvious you have no intelligent response when you choose to stoop this low.

The big difference is Manson was a mass murderer, Rush was not. All he did was get addicted to something but he conffessed to it.

I think I adressed this long enough. I have more important things to do than sit here and waste my time trying to explain my observations.

Like I said if you don't like Rush, that's fine. But like it or not he's here to stay and he's not going away.

I'm outta here, Regards.

"Three is a pattern."

Does this tie Rush with J Lo in number of marriages? He could just be trying to keep up - he is very competitive, I hear.

I totally agree with you. I think a lot of people on here would defend a conservative Republican even if he was a murderer....but if it was a Democrat doing the same thing, they'd crucify him. In my opinion, if you have a core set of morals/beliefs/values, and those lines are crossed on EITHER side, they should have the same justice. Rush is a mess. He talks the talk but his life doesn't reflect walking the walk. Anyone can talk...that doesn't make him a person of character.

Taken under advisement. Nuf said and nuf tabloidisation of Rush.

I am also reminded that Marta was with him during years he truly made his mark in Political History.

Fame is a --tch and so is the the profound influence he has.
