Same here. It's such a manifestly stupid idea, I don't know why I gave my junior senator so much credit as to assume he wouldn't actually go for it. ;)
It makes me wonder if he actually made the offer in the first place. He might have, knowing McCain would never accept. McCain won't keep quiet about it.
