Our principal actually announced that she "hoped that the teachers would allow the students to view at least the funeral." Our faculty is very conservative (at least for a public school) and every room I've gone by, including the library, office, gym and cafeteria all have the service on. One of my students sang with the tenor "Ave Maria" and it was beautiful to hear.
How wonderful...that a public school would watch....I suggested to my grandson last night that he stay home from school (he's 10) to watch.....I doubt his Mom would do it, but doubt my grandson will ever forget his bamma suggested he skip school for "history."
