Yes, he does. I know he isn't a popular President here but he is from my hometown and as a kid, to have the President of the United States from your hometown, is quite special. I will always think kindly of him.
Ford was the right man at the right time.
I believe he is 90.
He was a good and decent man, both in public life and out of office, something that two of the presidents sitting there cannot claim (Clinton for obvious reasons, Carter for his recent mean-spiritedness).
Ford's honor was from his peers in the Congress, their faith in him and acknowledgement that he would do the right thing.
I have also always believed that once again, God's Providence for this nation was shown when Gerald Ford was elevated to the Presidency.
