If I remember correctly, MG Jackman is the Commander of the US Military District in Washington, DC....that makes him the Senior Military Commander so that is why he was chosen as the Escort officer.
And he is doing quite a fine job.
You can see him being very gentle and easy with Nancy and she seems to be very trusting of him.
General Jackman's wife,Cathy, has escorted President and Mrs. Bush for the funeral proceedings. She is from Fayetteville, NC. Our paper had an article about her this morning.
