After the tolling of the tenor bell, they began ringing a peal - I believe they have a ring of ten bells, and there is a change-ringing society at the Cathedral. If they ring a full peal, they will be busy for hours.

Its sad to me that Church bells are in some places banned in the US but Mosques can call people to prayers by loudspeakers.

There is something magical and soothing hearing them; something that was once a part of our Civilization and Heritage.
