Posted on 06/10/2004 2:28:07 PM PDT by alisasny
Alot of dignataries are now showing up to pay respects. McCain, Guiliani, Gorby, Karzai, etc.
Cspan has live coverage. Bush expected at 7 but could be earlier? He is then going to visit with Mrs. Reagan.
Guard changes about every half hour at .28 and .58 of the hour. One is going on right now.

I'm back. Of course two phone lines rang just before the President walked into the Rotunda... those were the quickest phone calls I've ever taken. I should have transferred the phones to someone else for a few minutes.
They both look very emotional. I don't know how he's going to hold it together tomorrow.

"and no THUMBS UP on exit....: )"
And no crass remarks about Kerry to the press on the way out, like Kerry did about Bush when he went to Simi Valley.
To: Dog
Note the dif between
Kerry's staged visit and
POTUS's.

JFK's was like this only more grief, he was so young. And we had been kept so ignorant of what he really was.

The way he smoothed the flag on the casket was so telling. Commanding, respectful, celebrating RR's life and all he meant to us.

WHEW! Just made it in time to watch W and beautiful Laura enter the room! Been out most of the day, does anyone here know how many have viewed President Reagan? I heard on the radio the crowd estimate was around 80,000. That sounds much to small. But than it was a pressWHORE reporting the numbers.

I know, I doubt he'll hold

he tears,... I find it endearing
because that's how he really reacts.
REAL men can and do CRY.

I 'm rather certain that he'll be buried wherever his library is. Barbara Bush told Lalrry King last night that they would be buried here in College Station at the library, that their daughter is already buried there. Barbara smiled and said that it was a beautiful spot. I think it would be fabulous for Bush 43 to have his library right across from Bush 41's.

God Bless C-SPAN for canning the "color commentary"...I couldn't agree more! I plan to watch the service tomorrow on C-Span, too. FNC yacks way too much, as do the others. By the way, President Bush smacked the press down today in a great press conference. Hehehehe..
