Franken is under the impression that merely by applying the epithet "liar" to someone, that this automatically makes it so. I have no idea how this dire, tedious man ever managed to find sufficient sparkle to be on Saturday Night Live.

He was once part of a two man comedy team (Franken and Davis) which had its moments back in the seventies. As you can guess, he was the idiot character of the pair and has continued in that vein as a solo act ever since.
