Exactly, it's all part of his strategery ;).
But seriously, they never expected him to get elected governor of Texas, or get re-elected as governor. They all banked on McCain in the primary. They thought he'd get killed in the debates with Al Gore. They never expected he'd survive the drunken driving charges. He got his tax cut passed. He exceeded their expectations as a war president after 9-11. They thought they'd make gains in the mid-term elections. And he has far surpassed them in fundraiser. They couldn't even unseat his brother as governor of Florida when the DNC made him their number one target.
So I guess if I had to ask the Democrats anything, it would be this; If George W Bush is so stupid and incompetent, like they keep saying he is, how come they keep losing to him?
