I want a landslide so much I can taste it. More than just getting President Bush re-elected, I think the media needs to be humbled and brought back into line, and I really do think democrats need to be brought back into line as well. This country NEEDS a two party system, we need to go back to sharing our basic beliefs and just disagreeing about how to get there. We need courtesy back in the senate (the house should ALWAYS be rowdy). We need a little dignity back in Washington, not a bunch of street brawlers. The fights can be as serious, they just need to show a little more class.
We're getting to the point where we're pretty good street fighters, but let's face it, it's getting way too ugly out there for the good of the country.
We need a net pickup of 3 or 4 Senate seats to change the dynamics in the Senate re: judicial confirmations.
Contrary to the belief of many, we do not need 60 to break the logjam. We just need 55 or 56 to tip the balance... enough of the RATS up for re-election in 2006 will be scared into breaking the filibusters, particularly if Daschle is defeated in November.
