thanks. that's neat. still not clear to me why the boots facing backwards symbolizes a last ride, but that's cool. I saw a funeral procession at arlington w/ a caisson once when I was visiting a friend's grandfather's grave. It was beautiful.
The boots will not stay in the stirrups facing forward without a foot in the boot.
